Who else has Friday as there rest day?

Seems like as normal the Res's get shafted with missing out on an extra day off this week (and probably next)

Union guy said they were meant to be stopping this? I don't know how true...

but the res's all work full-time hours (over there 25/30 hour) and usually have their set route as well! not a huge office either maybe 12 frames total....

You get an extra day added onto your leave years ago we worked it either got double pay or, pay & a half plus day of

ask for the money. you never get the lieu day when YOU want it so bollocks with them. take the extra money.

This lieu day nonsense is fast becoming a company wide scandal.
You get told you can put in for lieu days on certain months, then when you do you're told you can't apply for them.

"b/h excess" overtime claim in for Friday then and forget the lieu day, you will likely never get it, or get it on a day you don't want.

Yep. My day off this week is Friday. DOM has already asked us what we want; lieu day or pay. I asked about Saturday this week or Tuesday next as lieu day but wasn't able to so took the pay option.

Mine on friday but thats only because the duty im covering day off lands on that day. Found out i will be on it for a good few months so can't complain just happy to have regular days off for a change.

And I will be on the same duty this week. my partner has Saturday off as his DO & I got told because I'm a AG I have to have Friday as my DO instead & take the day in lieu how fair is that ?

You have the day off that is scheduled for that duty, just bacuse you are an AG matters not. How much notice did you get for a change of day off? Ask for the pay instead.

My DO should be Saturday though. I got told yesterday that my DO would be Friday. I rather pick it up a day in lieu rather than pay

If thats the case then just stick to your guns a take Saturday off. Say you have made plans because you originally had Saturday off.

I'm on a duty next week which has Friday as it's day off but they've changed it to Monday! Really needed Friday off too

Is there a difference between Friday being a rest day or an annual leave day?

Are you still entitled to pay or a day lieu in either case?
