I'm a H&S rep and have been for a couple of years, I was dismissed but won my appeal last month but at the time I was dismissed I had very little support from members at my office so I'm just feeling at the moment that I should not go for the postion in the next elections as why should I bother trying to make things better for members when they didn't show me the support when I needed it.
What do other people feel they would be like in the same situation?

Being a rep at any level can be a tireless job you will never please all of the people all of the time and it is disappointing when you expect members to stand with you suddenly crawl away to hide under a rock! You are obviously interested in H&S you could stand for the Area H&S rep position that way you wouldn't be directly responsible for H&S in your office.
