Appeal against dismissal.
hi
You must appeal in writing within Three days of the date of your dismissal and give a brief description of why you wish to appeal.
This has to go to the manager that made the decision to dismiss you. If you are in the union the rep should have done this straight away for you.
Assuming you have done the above, the actual appeal could take months to be heard I am afraid.
You will not be paid either as you have been dismissed.

Appeal against dismissal.
Appeal needs to be submitted within 3 days to the manager who gave the dismissal that you are appealing his/her decision giving a brief description of the reason for your appeal. This will be heard by an appeals manger independent from your work area and will give you 5 days notice of the appeal date. The appeals manger should also send to you in advance of the appeal date all relevant documentation that was used by the manager who issued the dismissal. The appeals manger should treat this as a complete review of your case and you will be given the opportunity to produce further evidence that has come to light during the dismissal period. The appeals manager can uphold the decision given, revoke or reduce the penalty. Expected time scale should be 4 weeks to the appeal hearing but it has been known to take longer. If you are successful with your appeal and be reinstated your wages will be backdated to the date of dismissal. CWU should provide you with an adequate representative who is experienced in dismissal appeal hearings.BB brother wrote:Hello all.
