Job share

As my boss doesn't seem to think that at 55 and with 36 years done I am serious about evr should it arise and senior in my office,has anyone done or doing a job share? My office mate is keen 1 week on 1 week off,is this viable in the current climate? Or do I need to speak to someone who will take up my evr request? If they are keen to save money and reduce my round to part time?? Advise please.his favourite line to me and my mate "maybe this isn't the job for you any more.mmmmmmmm you think????

I do a job share 3 days a week, not sure if they would go for a regular week off (Mon-Sat), but my situation covers me working thurs,fri,sat-mon tues weds, and then rest days until the following thursday, so essentially week on- week off, but spread over 2 part weeks. If it involves a reduction in hours I would imagine they would bite your hand off.

there has been a new job made in our office.

2 x 24 hour ( 6hrs by 4 day week ) have been allocated a job share.

it's one of the worse walks in the DO but it works out one week on one week off.

Mon - Tue - wed then off
other postie does thur - fri - sat then sun off Mon - tue - wed

so when you finish on a Wednesday you are off until the following Thursday. no loss of pay and every other weekend off.

Many thanks for the reply on leave at mo but will have a word on my return
