Local CWU branch to recommend NO vote

I have today heard on very good authority that the south east 3 branch of the CWU is very seriously considering recommending to all it's members that they vote against the deal now on offer, this could have a serious impact on the voting so let's encourage them to see it through and for other branches nationwide to follow suit.

Any other branches heard anything on how they will be advising their members ?

I'll be voting "NO" , whatever my branch recommends.

Do you mean South East No 5 Branch the largest Branch in the Country? Not South East No 3 the richest Branch.

My Branch is also reccomending a no vote!!!!!

Same here mate! But, I'm not so daft as to think if my branch recommended a 'Yes' vote, they won't have been leaned on. I've met too many of my branch officials to think they're stooges for Bill and Dave's Excellent Adventure.

I know what you mean, mate. I've a feeling a good many branch officials will have been leant on, before our ballot papers drop on the mat.

I have to say that you are all lucky to have a Branch to tell you what to say.....the N.Ireland No1 Branch is in dissarray, STILL.... The reason for this Mr Pat O Hara the so-called, put in place Branch Secretery cant be contacted Y after every Thursday he flys home on that day to Liverpool then arrives back into Belfast the following Tuesday.....but dont worried because the Real Reps who still have fight in the bellies have told the memebership to vote No on this madness of a pay deal. If we accept this document this UNION is finished...... Mark my words....with the work of all the activsts and trade unionist on this site we are the UNION never forget this .............lets get busy and spead the word tell are people to vote NO. Let us lead the way instead of the overpaid leaders of this union.

Well i would vote no For the reasons of the deal in place but i would also vote NO because of the way HQ AND PEC have treated you NI boys n girls.... FECKING MURDER..... :lfo :cfo Its a crime...

I'll be voting against, too, for many reasons.
Primarily, no matter what the substance of the deal is, how can you vote on something which both sides are interpreting differently?

The deal itself is worse than what we were offered three weeks ago.

im gonna vote no,but unfortunately i think those that do vote no will be the minority here.

there are 130,000 staff and i bet a lot of those wont even bother reading the deal,they will look atÂ£175 being waved in front of thier faces and the fact we will get our early saturdays back and will vote it in..which is upsetting seeing as all thestrikes would have been in vain,if the deal goes through..

its the same deal as before just worded different..and also those waverers who will probably be too scared to go on strike over xmas aswell..

its going to be voted in....by those to blind to see the s**t..
