Overtime ban

We have been told if we are to go over by up to 30 minutes we can't book it as overtime and that we must go into work 30 minutes later the next day.
Also that all overtime over 30 minutes we can book but it must be agreed before we leave the office no excuses.

Great the business sticks to agreements eh

Do it on overtime if they'll pay you simple.

Well I'll give them 5/10.

5 Because they are right you should advise them as soon as you know you are going over that's standard in the overrunning duties agreement, even if you are willing to do the overtime.

0 - Because they are using the flexibility rule retrospectively, and without taking your circumstances into consideration. Also, flex is voluntary.

Cut off every time.
Anyway what is coming in 30 mins later the next day going to solve as it will make you cut off even more the following day

Does this sound like the 30 minutes flex which is (according to national agreements) supposed to be voluntary?? Anyway, I suppose if you do come in 30 minutes later in the morning, they will probably give you less work to do in the work plan.

When they tried that at our office I just said I wasn't going to do it. They tried to say I should leave 30 minutes spare, after my duty time finished, in case I went over. If they are not going to pay then don't do it, cut out and bring it back.

It's a swings and roundabout production,finish early finish late,you can't claim cos you went home early the other day and I know cos I went looking for you cos that's how productive my day as a manager is??!!! Oh yes and moral is rock bottom but hey that's life and we get paid every Friday

They cannot change your start and finish times without proper notification.

Well, in the WTLL this week we were informed that if an individual is not prepared to flex then that individual will be made to stay until their duty finish time until the end of the year. This has been approved by the area manager apparently... Gotta love RM :/

They tried doing that in our office but it lasted about a month. Our management team has been whittled down and all of them are out doing deliveries on a regular basis.

They can jam their flexing up their arseholes, half an hour over your time returned in the shape of a thirty minute later start with f**k ALL prep done for you so you struggle to finish on time again.

About time we all familiarised ourselves with the agreement re 'flexibility' and have the relevant section(s) to hand when gaffers try to wing it like this

Why is that a problem. You are paid to work until the end of your duty time. I would rather do that than work their flex time.
