official agreements or policy on leaving mail or packets behind open doors required
security team say NO our local mgmt say yes and are confusing members
ie , if local mgmt say we can leave items behind doors and something goes missing is postman covered
local mgmt refuse to sign off policy to cover workforce
they say everything ok as long as they say so ( until something goes wrong)

You mean Porches leaving mail in well if it goes through the letter box on said door it is OK but if you leave an item in an unsecured porch having opened it you would known it was not secured! Scanning an item and leaving it would show you done this as would CCTV cameras but if it fits through the letter box it is not your fault as you should not be trying to gain entry to the property nor ensuring it's security!
