sick pay and sundays

why is rm count sundays in with sick leave
heard today this is not a national procedure
if we are off sick our office counts sundays as sick leave if off for a week and you return say wed they count sundays
if your off for months they count sundays
surely if they are counting sundays we should be getting paid for it?????
does this practise happen all over are rm abusing sick leave on sundays as enablers to stick stages on people
any advice welcome

Iv just had this happen to me off sick and signed off by doc, went back now on stage warning they have included my Rota week and Sunday's as part of my sickness, Carnt say I'm very happy about it but managers don't really care.

Sunday is counted as sick if you're not fit for work on Monday. So if you rang in on Saturday and said i'll be alright to return to work on Sunday but obviously most of us don't work on Sundays and you return on Monday then it would not be counted.

so why are we not paid fpr the sunday and should they be used against us if we are not
they are using terms of govmt sick policy for THEIR benefit rather than person off
