Yes tell the Dom you will be his bitch as that's what our coach does .

Very helpful....

They recently did some interviews at our office and from what one of the guys said, they are similar questions to the ones you do when you apply for the job in the first place. Perhaps someone else has a bit more of an insight though?

I'm sorry but if you check the thread titled get rid of work place coaches you will get a feel of how regular posties see this role . Not only is it a waste of Royal Mail money in most cases it's usually the doms favourite that takes on the role

They only give the job to people to ass kissers. As long as you are one of them the job is as good as yours!

Maybe how you would coach someone new. Any evidence where you have helped someone learn something. Maybe dealing with difficult staff members how you would approach sensitive issues or angry staff members annoyed with management.

it's more than that I thought it was nearer £45 could be wrong but I thought it was more than £35

Speak as you find our work place coach is really helpful for newbies, always willing to help and anything but on the side of the DOM. Regularly cuts if the work load too high etc. I do agree it's money for old rope as I can't think of any other jobs were you get paid extra for training, but good luck if you can get it.

The last 2 jobs our WPC did... Train the OPGs that had been on Bicycles ((yes that long ago) how to use the Old PDAs....... Ran a 2 hour course for everyone when the New PDAs came in. Apart from that all they've ever done was nag people that were loading up for not wearing a Hi-Vis.

Generally in the Offices I've worked it's left to the Postie that's training the Newbie. They shadow you for a couple of days and it's the Postie that has to tell them all the rights & wrongs. I'm not so much of an Arse that I won't help a New Guy out if I see he's struggling, but you do wonder who trained them. Especially when they've never been told the basics, such as turning an envelope, or inserting a 739, to indicate there's a parcel for that address.

On the question of what they're likely to ask.... I've got no idea. Because our WPC has been in the job for donkeys (yes they are a DOM favourite) and they haven't died, or retired, yet. So I doubt if anyone else is likely to get a look in. Perhaps they should only have that role for a set period, say 4 years, and then someone else could take on the roll?

Hi all in our office 5 CWU reps and 5 office staff have been made coaches,it really annoying that CWU reps are doing this it must be a conflict of interests for £36 a week,How do you deselect reps that do this? Plus office staff haven't done deliveries.The only real postman who was a coach resigned due to taking money under false pretences someone with a conscious.Our reps are out for themselves full stop.CWU beware dozens of people have left the union because of this.You will say stand against them in elections last one went sick through stress after being intimidated by the union gravy train.CWU HQ TAKE NOTE
