Any update on pay talk or change of working conditions ie full time pay for 35 hours a week or whatever.

I don't think we will hear anything until the pension issues are resolved ,

cant see that being resolved,...not in our favour anyways. we are due a rise in 7 weeks.

it's usually delayed until the summer so that the pay rise looks good when we get it backdated

most people only hear the words "lump sum" and wet their pants regardless of what it's for

I don't think union are pushing for pay rise this year , they are trying to reduce our working week to 35 hours with no loss in pay which is a pay rise in itself .

That doesn't help when the cost of living is going up

From what i've read on here the reduction in hours would be spread over a few years anyway

In order to reduce hours with no loss of pay they would have to either increase hourly rate. Or full timers would receive a supplement. Presume the union is pushing for hourly rate, which would mean everyone benefits including part-timers.

We'll finally get a rise in the summer and it will only be the inflation rate like last year, amazing it takes them so long to do sweet FA

More than likely will not be sorted out until the Autumn. They usually like to make back dated pay around that time so that it deters people from striking over the xmas build up.

Thats not a pay rise unless you're planning on taking up a second job.
