Does the office have to make up a PT to FT to cover the loss of hours or can they get away with just replacing her with another PT?

If it's anything like my office, when a full time member of staff leaves their delivery is converted into a part time job. Then it is covered by existing part time staff.

As stated by KTB, this situation is often viewed as an opportunity for the DOM to cut his FT staff. Sometimes a PTer may be made up to FT (on the basis of seniority) and then they'll recruit a new PTer to replace them.

I'd get your Unit Rep on it as he may be able to fight the loss of hours, and keep that FT position. :cuppa

our office ten full timers have left they make people upto 30hr or 35 very most
