I answered your other thread but I'll post the same here.

I think the only time it's allowed is if you are stopping to deliver to a premises adjacent to a bus lane and even then you are only supposed to use as short a section as possible. i.e you can't drive down a bus lane to reach your destination. Also check the bus lanes time of operation but I suspect this one might be yours to pay.

From the Highway code

141
Bus lanes. These are shown by road markings and signs that indicate which (if any) other vehicles are permitted to use the bus lane. Unless otherwise indicated, you should not drive in a bus lane during its period of operation. You may enter a bus lane to stop, to load or unload where this is not prohibited.

So you could say you parked to deliver a parcel. You then accelerated (passing the camera) to enter the other lane.

Worth a try

Try being an adult. Admit you were in the wrong and accept the consequences.
Drive more considerately in future and I assure you it will never happen again.
Round up the usual suspects.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
