Permanent or temporary?

Sounds like you're being asked to flex due to it being quiet! They can 'ask' you to flex but its not compulsory!

Any change in start/finish times should be subject to consultation with the union rep, any proposed changes from that consultation should be subject to a members vote. Any deviation from this procedure should be met with a disagreement and the use of the IR framework (available in downloads ).

If you don't have a rep or your rep is not following this procedure contact your local branch/area rep immediately.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
