Lost my contract.

Been with RM for over ten years. I cannot find my contract. How do I get a copy?

wouldnt worry they are too scared to give out copies of contracts in case they have to adhere to them

That's why I want a copy. I'm sure mine states 6.30am start, not 8am that that my DOM wants to put me on.

they can change your times so your contract means naff all in that sense

As far as I'm aware your contract will not have a stated start finish time.

If you are on a signed duty and your start time is 6.30am this can be altered but needs your approval. By extending your starting time by 1.5 hrs then this would be a later finish and could interfere with your personal arrangements such as collecting children from school and this is a valid reason for your starting time of 6.30am remaining. Advise your union rep of your circumstances.

they changed ours from 5.15 to 6.50. all of us. all that was said was they needed to give 28 days notice. union said they cannot change your contracted hours, but can change your start/finish times. for example, they could change them to 9 til 5, as long as you are still getting your full contracted hours. and we were told by our area rep/ branch secretary/ and both union reps, who had us all downstairs for the meeting, that theres nothing we could do about it. as long as we were still getting our contracted hours.

Didn't realise that or know that. So in theory, if they chose, that could put me on 10-6 nights as long as I was getting the right amount of hours? Not looking good then

I'm currently working on a duty (that I've signed for) on a 4 day week and it's getting changed to a 5 day week with a later start. Ouch!

What happened with your early shift allowances? Was the IR Framework used?

We had a guy who had his hours changed and he couldn't do the new hours. The rep said if the guy could find the email offering him the job and it gave specific hours then they couldn't change them. He found the email and the managers backed down. So maybe sometimes it's possible?

actually rehabron, now that you come to mention it.....I can't bloody remember!! bloody hell. am going to ask the rep tomorrow, cos aye, we used to get it from 05.15 to 6.00. I think our start times were moved back in 2010. might have been before but i'll find out. you may have opened a can of worms there.

I believe early shift allowance applies till 5.30. Our office had a start time of 5.29 several years ago to allow us to get the allowance
