Pay discrepancies in local offices

Does anyone know the formula used to set local pay rates for OPG grades.

I have seen scenarios where two local offices where parts of their walks overlap (deliver to same road at opposite ends, or other side of the streets etc ) have an advertised pay difference of up to £1 per hour ?

Both offices are inside London in the same borough with the same expected cost of living. Potentially earning up to £1400 less than their colleagues over the road.

it could be one person who are there longer than 12 months already. Apply for the job in higher pay area ;)

London Weighting is based on you receiving inner London pay ranges if your office is 4 miles from Charles second statue at Charring Cross and outer if you are from 4 Miles up too 16 miles from Charles second statue.

This is why Clapham will receive inner London whereas Balham will recieve outer.

Believe it or not I was referring to the Clapham branch in my post as I see they pay the premium London weighting , must suck to work the other side of the road !

Didn't realise Charles II had anything to do with Royal Mail Pay? That'd be a good question for a Pub Quiz!
