Hi all. Just trolled through first 15 pages on here to no avail. We are having an issue at our mail centre. A number of our processing staff, are loaned out to distribution,to cover 7.5/18T Duties. They are paid adhoc substitution when they cover EU driving duties.
Now once they cover 15 drives. They have to sign paperwork, restricting them from performing overtime. Also weekend overtime is hit as they have to take at least 45 hours off every 2 weeks. The other week at least 24 hours rest period.
My question. I was sure i read on here. Drivers covering EU duties have been successful ,in getting the MGV substitution for the remainder of the reference period (26 weeks). Once 15 drives have been covered. Also getting back pay for the time MGV substitution wasnt paid.
Can anyone link me to the thread, also tell me the mail centre paying adhoc MGV drivers this way ?
Regards.

The 15 drives are 15 days in the absence of a tachometer digital card and are allowed manual entries for this time period. You have also not mentioned if these processing staff on loan to distribution hold a CPC qualification card.Duran wrote:Hi all. Just trolled through first 15 pages on here to no avail. From what I understand after talking with a lorry driver who dropped our mail off at my DO, I think you're only allowed to drive with a tacho card and a Driver's Qualification Card otherwise it's a £1000 fine for driving commercially without one.
