Is there an official document on when lapsing should be used by management?

We always get told its based on "traffic" but this week its been used because large number of staff are sick and they cant cover walks.

Lots of us have made sure we don't have time to take it but there are always some who feel pressured into taking it.

Was hoping there maybe something I could show to the lino to say its wrong.

Do your job by the book in all aspects and this will severely reduce lapsing.

All offices do it we have 2 jobs that are permanent flex we use a differerent word, the only time this routes are not flexed is Christmas.

Yes, its the flexibility agreement - copy is in downloads

It can be based on traffic for lapsing. With Sickness, I think its call absorption. Basically the same thing.

Time for collection action of working to the rules and at a reasonable pace.

Sadly he isn't. But you only have to work to the hours you are contracted for, they can't make you work any more or any longer than those hours, but they can make you work them all.

Thanks for the answers. Unfortunately there are people in our DO who start early, finish late and don't claim as they don't want the hassle. We can't change them.

Our office is indoor lapsing ,that means we cover walkson a daily basis,the great outdoors is the new indoors.
