whats the rules please

Hi guys
Im on 20 hour contract and I was doing a wally week system, but now ive been taken off that and put back on my 20 hour over 4 days?
one guy has moved to our DO and has same contract as me 20 hours but has been with RM longer ?

do I just suck it up and go from 40 hours to 20 hours ?
I don't understand why they gave me 40 hours and then have a transfer in and slash my hours and now we are over staffed?

To answer your second question first the reason they would rather have two guys at 20 hrs than one at 40 hrs is the reduction in indoor time.

Your first question about whether they can reduce your hours will depend on how long you've been doing those hours and whether it was covering one shift or made up as ad hoc hours, you need to speak to your rep/area rep.

Ive been told that the walk I was on is mine if I want it, so I thought ok I will do it.
Now I will be getting trained on a different walk which has a f/t member on it?
I suppose my question is can they offer the walk(more hours) to the man who transferred after i started in that DO but has more Years than me at RM?

They shouldn't offer it to anyone, and they shouldn't tell you "that the walk I was on is mine if I want it,".

They should advertise it and follow the agreements. Namely, the most senior person applying for it gets it.

If they have followed the rules, then the person who transferred into the office after you started and has more overall service than you then he is the most senior of the two of you.
