Woudn't it be nice

To get a thank you at this time of year for all your hard work. Wouldn't it be nice to get a manager coming round asking if you are able to complete your round on time. Wouldn't it be nice to have a manager who is still there when you get back 2 hours after your time. Wouldn't it be nice to work for a caring sharing company. Wouldn't it be nice to feel you are appreciated. Wouldn't it be nice to see a manager on the shop floor BEFORE we go out, not sat on his arse in a closed office until we have all disappeared. Wouldn't it be nice to open the courier and see that everything was honkey dory this Xmas, that nobody had issues and it all went well. Welcome to the real world, it was bedlam as usual. 500 years practice still not got it right. Happy Christmas to all we have worked for it.

I think it's been quite an easy lead up to Xmas,as usual I braced for the worse and it's turned out OK.
It would be nice though if the managers didn't all go home before the people doing the work got back.

Ha!! It's a sad reflection of the way things are now,not sure what brief the managers get from above? are there any old school managers out there that are battling against the mighty and want to come into our world and and say well done,am sure if they are are good decent people they would,probably a bit embarrassed by it all no doubt?yes there was a time when so called managers visited the office at xmas to say hi,well done,how's it going,can't remember when that last happened,now we may get the odd certificate to gather dust in a worn out much neglected office that pretty much runs itself by staff that are at times too efficient and careing about the job and customers for their own good,in this current rat race climate I for one know the good old public still love the postie,and keen to laugh and chat with us,and keep us sane,so on that note I want to wish all my fellow posties up and down the country a very happy xmas and a happy 2017,enjoy the break with family and friends and keep smiling!!

Seriously? Are you a manager? I have never known anybody cut off at xmas before. Bedlam, too much work and not enough people but then, we are delivery, we get no help!

A couple of years back at my previous D.O. anyone who got back early on Christmas Eve was made to do sorting until their finish time.
