Perhaps they know our managers better than we thought. What usually happens is that a Manager suspends a driver/postie for refusing to cross a picket line and then his colleagues go out on wildcat in protest. Then their mail is sent to another office and they walk out refusing to handle "scab" mail.

Its a fairly common scenario in RM Industrial Relations and Royal Mail always see the "relations" in that statement as mildly incestuous.

The Press always seems to show a postie walking along some street when a piece on the post office is mentioned.
No wonder the public are always asking me about the strike,they are uneducated on the fact that RM and PO are now separate businesses.
The Royal Mail should make some kind of national announcement that the Post Office is a separate entity and it's business as normal.
The press don't show tube drivers when reporting on southern rail fiasco.

The press are really lazy and will not really research the ins and out of any dispute but just parrot fashion any press release put out which generally follows their political bent.
It is a no surprise that the public are uneducated but it is indeed a worry and this is how the Tories have been allowed to get away with so much over the last few years. The great British public have been browbeaten into submissiveness and xenophobia while the tory barons rob the public purse.
