Every packet is important to the person waiting for it, not just the bloody tacked! I wonder what if any fines we will get for this disaster. The only company I know that takes on all the extra work and doesn't have the staff to do it. Should be privatised... hang on, it has been!

"Concentrate on tracked, it will win us contracts!" Was wheeled out a few weeks back, a different dom told us the same line last Xmas, no contracts came.

Your comment re the staff is spot on, we can't cover the work, because we don't have the staff, where are all these temporary workers they have taken on? Backfilling for the non jobs in admin, that we don't need, probably.Surreypostie wrote:Every packet is important to the person waiting for it, not just the bloody tacked! Consistently setting impossible/Unachievable workloads on a daily basis in most companies is classed as a form of bullying.
What annoys me is they question the postman who is working his backside off,Talk about whipping willing horses,Ignorant and disgusting way to treat staff.

What I find really annoying is that when it suited them AMAZON told Royal Mail to get stuffed. They were going to deliver their own packets, with their own network. Because they could do it cheaper.
A lot of posts on here said their workloads had dropped, considerably, I only hope no Posties lost their jobs because of it. Now because it's Christmas, and their network can't handle the workload, they've come back to Royal mail to help them out. Wouldn't it have been nice to say "Sod Off"?
I know we can't because they just play the USO card, but you'd hope some RM Negotiator would TRY and sort out some sort of deal for next year (when I fully expect them to drop us again....until Christmas 2017)

I doubt it Aiden. They're the same Dickheads that allow customers to give us Households shaped like a Star, or Circular, or a single A4 sheet of cheap paper!

And accept anything without question, for example, a magazine sent to every house by the council. Why is it necessary for every single house to receive the magazine on the same day? Why hasn't it been negotiated for us to spread delivery over a week?Dorset Plodder wrote:I doubt it Aiden. The problem isn't the amount of work we have, only a fool would turn away work. RM want all the work they can get and that protects our jobs. The problem is, it all just gets dumped onto delivery and they are expected to do it in the same amount of hours. Resource to workload and not to budget and then we may not have these problems and morale may even improve.
