This week we were supposed to have 3 lots but only one turned up. That is until just now when the other 2 have arrived. Have been told to "filter in with next weeks". That can't be right, can it? Thought they were time sensitive.

It is a reasonable request, just do it, if it impacts on your ability to do the job that is their problem.

Reasonable it may be, but compared with the usual nagging about getting them done on time every week it seems like double standards lol. When it suits like everything else I suppose.
