off sick

just had 2 week s off sick with a doctors note. returned to work this mon and Tue and did about 1 hr delivery and bit of prep to see how things went. result was symptoms returned and have been signed off for another 2 weeks. will this count as a second sick period as it's the same condition. am due to have hospital scans

Depends on the managers.
Really it should only count as one absence as your condition/symptoms have returned, but we all know there are some nasty twats who will say it is a second separate period of absence because you returned to work.
Get your useless rep onto it.

Technically, it's a second absence,well not technically, it is a second absence,I take it you had the "welcome back" interrogation,sorry interview,did you mention that you had to see how it goes, did anyone mention ATOS,or whatever they are called these days? It's all relevant stuff, get your manager to refer you as soon as you can,it is al for your benefit,should the need arise
