We're doing pretty badly as a unit for scanning 2D barcodes, but we're still using the old PDAs so it's their own fault for not hurrying up with the new PDAs. I do try and scan them all but as already said if there's so much as a smudge or a crease then the old PDAs just won't scan it, and often the old PDAs just won't scan 2D barcodes (and sometimes even 1D barcodes) at all!

We have the new scanners in our office, and still have problems scanning the 2d barcodes.

The new pdas aren't great in the rain either :-(

I try to scan every 2D barcode but when the customer is waiting in the cold you sometimes have to give up and hand them over.

i try twice to scan the 2d code, if it doesn't work, I give up, no point wasting my time on it

They also seem to have to be totally flat to scan. Probably because it needs to scan in both directions, so if there's any bend at all, it wont pick it up. Some plastic wrapped packets are impossible to scan however well the label is printed.
