Pay issues

Post by domstar356 »

Hi. I have been on going serious under payment issues. This is probably the 10th time it has happened up to a maximum this week being 14 hours short but other times being up to 10 hours. The odd 2 hours i can live with but this is beyond a joke. I always go straight to my manager to tell him the problem and always get the big "I'm really sorry it will get resolved next week" which it never does.

As I believe anyone would think enough is enough.

Has anyone had this problem and who did they turn to to get this resolved.

Cheers
Gary

If you can put up with the short term financial pain of not working O/T then cut off....when they ask why say 'I've not been paid what I'm owed"

Especially when you get that phone call asking to do a bit extra.

"Sorry - but you still owe me 10 hours from two weeks ago, I'm not doing any extra until I'm paid".

Keep a detailed record of what O/T you work so you can back up your claims.

I would also speak to Union rep.

Happens in our office a lot if you mean missing O/T payments, every week people are complaining, 10, 12 etc hours short and still they do the O/T. I realise people need the money but if you are doing the work and not getting paid you may as well not do the work. I am sure that would resolve the issue pretty quick.

This happened to me once for a weeks o/t I never got. I told the manager I would put in a formal written grievance every week if it ever happened again. It hasn't since because they get looked at if grievances are put in. Every day you are over and can't sign with a line manager phone in and leave a message on the ansa phone.
