Yesterday a member of staff,having ordered new footwear months ago refused to go on delivery on account of the condition his boots.This morning he was given a used pair of boots,which he refused to wear.A brief discussion between the managers took place and he was sent home and told they would call him tomorrow to let him know if he is suspended and what conduct he will face for refusing a direct instruction.We are already using filthy old elastic bands picked up off the floor,now second hand shoes.

can't make you wear someone else's used shoes. they could've had verrucas for all you know. h&s issue that.

Easy answer is to have a good reliable witness when management orders him to go out,
