Nationally agreed amount of parcels per hour?

Can someone give me the definitive amount of parcels/drops per hour we have to achieve? I'm on parcels again ready for the Christmas rush and remember last year it being said it's 15 drops per hour even if multiple parcels to one house only counts as a drop, fair enough. Now I hear it's 20 the nationally agreed amount so can someone clarify this please so I can present it to my manager. Thank you

20 an hour in our office. However, we are staffed by idiot loons who back up to a property, just chuck a parcel over a back gate without even knocking, then drive away. It happened right in front of me one xmas, along with a neighbour standing right there next to me. 'See? Thats how I deliver parcels!', he called out of the window. So embarrassing.

Can be sacked for that why chance it. Depends on the area 15 an hour sounds right but if a lot of traffic or tower blocks 10-11 an hour would be about right but anything above 5 an hour even for a city centre should be ok it just depends on parking and traffic.

Why chance it? They do it for 3 reasons.

1: they want to get done early and earn some ghost OT.

2: they are old-timers who believe that they are invulnerable.

3: they like to show off and prove what big hard men they are because they can deliver so many parcels so quickly.

Like I said, so embarrassing.

Parcel delivery and delivering your walk takes as long as it takes.
Delivering 15 parcels and they are all in doesn't take the same time as docketing 15 parcels

I normally achieve 10-12 per hour (including loading Van, sorting parcels etc.), when on a Parcel delivery duty, and I do try neighbours, I don't door step. I wouldn't have thought anyone could ask for more, especially if they want to achieve a reasonable first time delivery rate.
Again tear arses f***ing it up for everyone else, Idiots.

They aren't stupid enough to mention numbers in my office. If you are told to do packets for duties 1 and 2 you take them all out and deliver them. If you don't want the overtime (should it be needed to complete) then you use the overrun procedure.

12 is achievable but sometimes tight.

15 means cutting some corners.

20 means driving like a loon and tossing parcels over garden gates from the van window!

There is no nationally agreed amount of parcels that you can deliver in an hour as there are too many variables.

When we get a manager quoting figures to us we ask them to show us the agreement where it says this---which of course they can't.

They normally mumble ---well this is what we expect and go away.

Just say you will deliver as many as you can within the time that you have, and will bring the rest back.
