Mileage payment

If you go on loan to another delivery office and are paid mileage does that come out of the wages budget of the office you travel to or a central fund?

It's probably different in every office but at our place we book any overtime and mileage claims at our own office, the boss has said that he then sends the bill for it to the relevant office to come out of their budget.

Just because a manager said it to me doesn't make it true though, probably the opposite in fact!

If you are loaned to another office, you sign on at your parent office then the manager has to arrange transport to and from the office you are loaned to. If you car insurance allows you to travel to another place of work , your insurance will state that you are covered for commuting to and from your sole place of employment ( your home office ) , or not , if allowed then you will receive the mileage plus the travel time . Be very careful that you are insured to travel to another place of employment.
