If, for example, you go sick on a Tuesday and then inform management the following Monday that you are fit to return but it's your rest day Tuesday so you will be back in on Wednesday should they count the rest day on Tuesday as still being on sick leave?
Got a stage one review meeting next week and looking at the paper work they recorded my last absence as 8 days even though the circumstances were as above and if the rest day isn't counted I've had 13 days sick in the last 12 months so no stage should be triggered.

If you reported back fit for work on the Monday then the Monday would be classed as the last day of the absence and the Tuesday wouldn't count. Remember though they count the Sunday as a sick day.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Had a scan at the hospital that Monday which was all clear and I made a point of going into work on the way back from the hospital to inform them in person that I was fit to make sure they didn't count the Tuesday, but they still have.bobthepostie wrote:If you reported back fit for work on the Monday then the Monday would be classed as the last day of the absence and the Tuesday wouldn't count.
