Holiday 2017 middle of week

Post by matthew68 »

Just wandered where we stand regarding our first allocation as Dom gave us holiday forms last week. My partner and me looked at holidays at weekend and want to go midweek on a Wednesday and return 2 weeks later, but Dom says it has to be 2 full weeks no patrial, weeks! He says come back after 1st lot allocated! But by then I guess those weeks will be booked and holiday could be gone anyway! It's hard enough with no December and then kids holidays as it is, why is it so hard to get the holiday you want, I mean it's only a posties job. The way. They treat us is like dirt and we are asking for too much! Is he correct or can I insist on these being my first 2 weeks as my partner has been told by her job that it's ok, but now it seems unlikely I will get this time off, Why can't you book part weeks as we are given 4 and a half weeks anyway?

Part weeks will screw the already screwed up system.
You will leave a part week that the chances are nobody wants, think about it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
