Stacks of parcels left in office

Loads of parcels, and I mean loads, as in yorks full for individual walks left behind in our office today including stuff from earlier in the week, and it's not even Christmas.

It's absolutely appalling the disregard that is given to parcels in this business. Why's there still so much emphasis on clearing mail (yes USO) but let's be honest it's 70% DSA mailings/catalogues, but parcels which most customers want asap is given a second footing. We've been told we're losing Amazon parcels from November, is it any wonder why?

And you've got people finishing walks early and going home and there's work still in the office. The apathy in people should be a real concern. What they need to realise is if the work isn't there in the future that equals a direct loss in hours.

amazon parcels gone by November what a joke.i can guarantee there be back by December amazon cant cope with deliveries so pass it off to royal mail.

Same happened in our place 2 weeks ago. We were told no overtime to be claimed, DOM went through my mail & pulled out tracked amazon parcels & recorded deliverys but left crappy magazines & catalogues for me to deliver. Clearing parcels on a daily basis should be priority, some mail can afford to be left a few days as it really isnt that important.

I find it staggering to read on here that in some offices yorks full of parcels are being left in and DOMs are pulling out tracked parcels. Meanwhile, in our office, DOM is constantly pushing that tracked MUST be delivered first time. How can their be such a difference across the business?

Wouldn't worry about it. Complete walks with all mail and parcels are often left in our office now. For three out of the last four weeks I have come back from my day off to find half a frames worth of the previous days mail or more!

He would have got someone else to deliver that tracked and recorded. His office stats / targets and therefore I'm assuming his bonus will depend on it. The non tracked stuff, well a few days here or there wont make any difference.

Went back the office on Wednesday after delivery and saw a full York of packets just left in the middle of the DO.

But at least the toys r us mags went out.

Competition and privatisation, ain't it great. 64p for a first class stamp (100% price increase in 10 years) and instead of most people receiving their mail by mid morning , like it used to be, most are lucky to get it now by mid afternoon, or maybe the following day if someone cuts off.

Wouldnt it be great if there was NO JUNK MAIL! Maybe we could handle the amazon parcels if not more. In the modern world now with technology in our pockets who really needs to see latest prices in our local grocery store and catalogues for crappy OAP footwear!! Only for people to chuck it in the bin as soon as you deliver it.

Maybe if they stopped kidding themselves on about the amount of work there is stopped trying to laps duties and stop lying to area managers that everything's clear and great in the office we might begin to get somewhere

We have parcels left most day's,sometime's 3 or 4 days worth on the unpopular walks,also loops left on a Wednesday,Thursday,Friday and Saturday,yet like someone else stated we have people going home up to 90 mins before time,you couldn't make this sh1t up.
