Thankfully have not used a trolley very often. But the few times I have, I started to get shin splints and shoulder pain.
Proving it is directly due to the trolley may be difficult. The very nature of our job means we have increased risk of injuries. And RM will always blame us i.e. not pushing correctly, walking too fast, slow, wrong stride, dehydration, wrong shoes blah blah blah. Anything to blame the posties.
Would be interesting to know if anyone's received any sort of training on the correct use of trolley. Surely can't be simple as push fast as you can 'comfortably' go..... or can it!
Perhaps union or RM should start sending questionnaire to employees asking about injuries and health. Instead of the useless "have your say" which seems to have become a tool to calculate managers bonuses.
