working notice

Lad in our office is cashing in his shares asap and then leaving.How many weeks notice do you have to give,and can he use his 2 weeks annual leave he has left in place of the x amount of notice weeks he must serve?

think its only 1 weeks notice

I weeks notice.

Annual Leave - he can use it, if the business agrees - they don't have to.

Also though he may have 2 weeks left, as he is leaving part way through the leave year, he won't be entitled to a full years leave entitlement.

If he resigned today he would only be entitled to just over 1/2 the annual entitlement, as the leave year starts in April and we are only 6 months on from then.
