NATIONAL PROCESSING WORKING GROUP



Dear Colleagues

Branches and representatives will be aware that the utilisation of Working Groups already occurs across the various functions represented by the department, an approach which is deemed to be of benefit to the Union in dealing with issues and projects.

While our Processing colleagues have always provided assistance when requested by the department, we believe that a more formal structured National Processing Working Group approach should now be adopted.



Applications are therefore invited from Area Processing Representatives who wish to be considered for involvement in this Group.

The exact number and make-up of the Working Group, which will be supported by input from the trained CWU Industrial Engineers is yet to be finalised however presently it is envisaged that it will consist of:

1 PEC member (lead)
1 Divisional Representative
Up to Six Area Processing Representatives*
*(Please note only Area Processing Representatives can be considered for inclusion on the National Processing Working Group)

Applications should be made in writing and addressed for the attention of Davie Robertson, Assistant Secretary.
