I'd like to introduce you to Commsave,some of you may already know about them,if not please read on.

The Commsave Credit Union is a non-profit organisation which was formed in 1991.
They are a Credit Union for employees of the Royal Mail Group,run by employees of the Royal Mail Group.
The aim of the credit union is to encourage members to save and give them access to borrowing at reasonable rates of interest.
They accept members who work or live in the NN, LE, NG, CV,DE LN, DN,PE, NR, IP, CB, MK, SG, LU, CO, CM, HP, AL, RH, ME, CT, TN, BN, EN, HA, N, NW, SL, WD, E, RM, DA, BR, CR, KT, TW, SM, SW, SE, W, WC, SS, EC, UB, and IG postcode areas.
The past 16 years have seen the membership of the Credit Union grow to over 2500.
On their site you will find information on how to join them, frequently asked questions, loans, savings and more.

Hi Just to let you know that the FSA have now increased our common bond and we are now able to allow members from all postcodes in England at last :Applause if you would like to download an application form or to find out more about us just let me know

Savings.

The amount that you wish to save is deducted directly from your wages. The minimum you can save if you are paid weekly is £1, and £5 if you are paid monthly. You can request to increase or decrease the amount at any time, just contact their office to arrange it.

Loans.

Members must be eighteen years of age and over, have been a member for thirteen weeks or more, and have saved regularly before applying for a loan.
If you choose to take out a loan from the credit union the maximum available to you is worked out by multiplying the amount in your savings.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Im a regular saver with Commsave and have a loan whicg paid for my summer holiday at the seaside. Couldnt have done it with that! Next year hoping to borrow again to do home improvements!

Glad it helped you out, thats what we are here for! Did you know we also do savings accounts for kids now? We have only just launched it but its going really well i've set them up for my kids straight from my pay to stop them pestering me for pocket money! :dance

All the info should be in the latest newsletter - did you get one? get the kids to enter the competitions in there too they'll have you leaping round the garden on space hoppers! and there's an in car DVD player up for grabs that i'd love to win myself to keep them happy in the car, but i'm not allowed to enter :sad:

hi im a member of pennypost credit union i think this might cover postcodes that this one doesnt its not bad but they have just doubled there interest rates for unnattatched loans ......... what a RIP OFF..... THEY MUST HAVE LEIGHTON AND CROZIER ON THERE BOARD !!!! just take out a small loan there not too bad then
