Can anyone help please?
What happens if you're off sick the week before your rotational week off - surely you haven't worked enough extra hours to get the week off?

If you were on the day off scheme and your day off was Saturday but you were sick Monday to Friday would you go in on Saturday because you hadn't worked enough hours to get the day off?

fair enough that makes sense - it was just that I got a weird text from Staffline, whoever they are, saying I was required at 6am on Monday!

its one of our t&cs the union fought for. paid sick leave. they'll be coming for that next.

not strictly true depending on your conditions for your rota week off, if you 'bank' hours to allow you to have the week off then strictly speaking they can say you need to work the hours you didn't bank ( as sick is still calculated in days not hours) the wallington system for instance if you are off sick you were supposed to 'pay back' 1 day for every full week sick as you hadn't banked it- I say supposed to as I have never known this actually happen

But with the way things are going I can see them enforcing this in the near future

It is really fair if you think about it - people are work ( ie not sick) are working a certain amount for free to get that week off ( banking hours) whereas people off sick are not, so why really should they get it
