Paid Paternity Leave?

I have had a nightmare year and baby is due on 22nd October. Havent put in for paternity yet (well manager is away at 9am every day so kinda hard) but I wanna know how i can get time off for the baby. Has to happen as my mrs will be exhausted and I need to drop other kids off at school. I have about 3 weeks in lieu days still waiting on but dont know if i missed deadline for paternity?

If the manager is not in the office as you say then put your request in writing and then take it from there.
You may find that you will be given it as sometimes you have to change times of paternity due to the delivery of the child being early or late.

just tske yout paternity leave when baby is born you are entitled to 2 weeks forget what manager thinks.

Baby due any day now and I've gone down ill. Manager hounding me to get back to work and now saying he's started my paternity leave from yesterday. What is wrong with these evil clowns?

Can't do that. It's your choice when it begins, had a similar issue with my previous employer, tried to sort it out they wouldn't listen, spoke to HR and they agreed it's legal our choice when to take paternity.

Our boss the now is the worst boss ever had in my life. 8 vacancies, lapsing 3 duties a day. Were not allowed to put our own overtime down he has to do it so nobody gets paid it. Miserable place.
