Might be handy if the air hostess could fly, especially if the pilot and co pilot had fish for tea. Unless there is a Ted Striker on board...

Seriously though, my contract says postman with driving, and I think all recent vacancies have mentioned being able to drive.

Must RM wait until the repick to finished before the rotation of duties commence? In other words can the a guy who has signed for duty "a" go onto that duty before the rest of the office has picked their duties and kick the current duty holder off?

A driving job has a lot more responsibility than a non driving job so the non driver should be paid less.

Before CDVs came in Posties did not need to drive and were not required to be able to.

Around 15 years ago the Union and Royal Mail decided , within a major agreement, that the drivers allowance would be withdrawn, except for professional drivers (7 Tonne and above), unless already in receipt of it.

So no he shouldn't be paid less its illegal.

No he hasn't been relying on others to drive him around. It used to be part of someones duty to take staff out to their duties, or you got your bus fare paid for.

If you are going to comment in such an obnoxious manner, I would suggest at least a modicum of research before you let your lack of knowledge show.
