short days on a Bank Holiday week

Every time we have a Bank Holiday Monday you get from the DOM
" Tuesday is a long day due to the Bank Holiday" and then on Wednesday you get another floating manager say " Wednesday is a long day you can't swap it for a Tuesday"
What is the CWU's stance on this. If you have an early day on a Tuesday normally what happens on weeks with a Bank Holiday on a Monday because DOM'S take the pish

Our dom wanted to swap our 7-45 Monday for our 7-18 Tuesday on bank holiday weeks but,We voted no.So yesterday (tues) i booked an hour extended delivery,Today Weds was like a Tuesday,Our finish time is 14.24,I saw 2 vans going back at 12.30.I took it easy and dragged it out till gone 2 lol

Down to local negociations, but remember if they want to swop the tuesday to a longer day and make the wednesday shorter ie: tuesday hours, anyone with the wednesday off should be entitled to an hour or so back as the swop will imbalance the 39 hours over the 6 week rotation.

Your observations are exactly the reason for flexing Tues /wed hrs to a certain extent on a bank holiday week. It's called resource to workload, and it saves the company allot of money, again as your observations would suggest, which is good for the strength of our finances (which you, as a shareholder should be concerned about). Obviously, if your day off is Tues or Wednesday then there's not alot you can do about it as you wouldn't work longer hrs Tues if your day off was Wednesday (you wouldn't get the 'shorter' hrs on Wednesday.
