Wallington Week

Post by postman_jack »

What are the "agreements" regarding the wallington week, when it comes to your week being changed? We are about to go through a repick and we have been told that the wallington's would be honored where they can. Most people in our office book a/l either side of their rota week to get two weeks off in a row for holidays etc . What happens if you have booked a holiday and they tell you got to change your rota week and messes up your holiday plans. This hasn't happened and just want to know if advance, in case this situation arises. Why they don't hold the repick off till next March when the current a/l cycle finishes I don't know.

Wallington Week

they should still try to honour holidays that are booked and you can always try a swap, someone else whose now got your wally week wouldn't necessary need it for travel plans and you may also now have theirs, also doing a re-pick in march could still cause problems when you'll still plan ahead in oct/nov when you pick the holidays for the next year.
maybe just a matter of cross that bridge when you come to it and get union rep in if it's going to cause you financial loss

thanks

in regards of doing the repick in March, by that I mean't have the repick now but it dosen't go live until March. So when the a/l forms come out everyone knows what the wally week is next year but as I said in RM nothing is every done with any common sense.
