hi can you tell me when this finishes ? cause weve done our week 10 - 22 ; liar , and have now been told it will continue as its down to daily traffic figures , is this happening elsewhere ?.

we lapse when the figures of incoming items is less than an agreed amount......trouble is that figure is high so we lapse a lot LOL

its a piss take , this company do what they like and f**k any agreements made , and the cwu just sit back in there ivory towers and watch this and leave it to the posties to sort out on a daily basis to be honest is it worth ?

It stops when the schools go back. Except for Tuesdays, thats all year. Thing is though, it's called 'lapsing' but it's just a couple of duties chopped up and done on overtime. No idea how that saves money.

Well why not come in on time take your meal relief inform the twat who gave you more work than you can do and come back on time and tell said twat to go and do it if he/she can!

Well said if people are coming back 2 hours early like our office still then the union have got no argument to stop lapsing,bunch of twats will never learn!

we do start on time , take m/r , use lwts etc , and we got tested indoors and pissed it and been tested outdoors 50 mins over each , and what do they do added another loop on the frame and increase ips , can you believe that , and till expect you to do extra because you got cocks finishing an hour + before there time but we are looked at as lazy and s**t at our jobs ,argument everyday , lol

IN London it's the union who have agreed to extend it until the end of September, easy when you sit in your ivory towers, never work a Saturday and have never done lapsing in their life...

The problem is being told you HAVE to do it, and when you say you don't have time they ask WHY... because I don't have time to do it... not good enough, traffic is down, you DO have time! These arguments happen every day and it causes a lot of stress. Unfortunately most just take the lapsing skip their breaks to avoid confrontation, which makes it look achievable. So it's one big vicious cycle that's very hard to break.

Do the lapsing first and then cut-off on your own walk by an appropriate amount of time

traffic is down so much we have people starting work AT 4 AM, same 5 people everyday on overtime to make sure the IPS is done so we have time to lapse

sounds sensible hmmmm........
