We all got called round for a huddle where the Dom told us the wages are not gauranteed or protected next year wtf?
He also reckon that in 2019 they will dissolve RMail and that we will need to reapply for our jobs that we might be working for direct mail or whistle on lower wages, is this ture or just scare mongering from the managers?
Has anyone else heard anything

Hi
Your manager knows nothing sounds like a proper turd to me.Why would he/she scare monger people in this way?
There are probably tough times ahead for sure but to say this is totally unprofessional.I would not worry about anything until we have it official until then its business as usual.

Total lies, I'm not joking when I say that he shouldn't be in that position of responsibility - definite mental issues.

Bless.. Do some still get the lovely huddle?
I evpect your Dom has been listening to Doms Bullshit and putting 2 and 3 together, and that is a difficult skilled sum my friend. But the truth is RM will be chasing the bottom line one day and our union is always on the back foot when it comes to the actual delivery staff. When RM and the union realise that we the delivery are the going to be the largest part of the group, both of them may start to listen.

Whistl isn't though, they quickly found out just how difficult it is to run a mail delivery service.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Ah! the old perennial _ I wondered when it would show up

I'm not sure that anyone in any company has their wages guaranteed so that is definite bullshit by the sounds of it. I'm in my 26th year and ever since I started I've been told that it's very likely that postmen would lose their job as they won't be needed much longer. Guess what - still here having seen off numerous DOMs and even more DSMs who have conveyed this message. It's the RM way - no-one does negative like they do . Everything they talk about or do has a negative vibe as they seem to think that by behaving like this they will get more out of you as you will be scared into doing anything they say. They have absolutely no idea in the way of treating and motivating staff as anyone with half an ounce of grey matter will tell you that the best way of getting more from your employees is to appreciate and motivate them so that they will go the extra mile for you.

I think he is on to the fact the union did not negotiate a long term deal but Whistle is dead as for the rest of his bullshit and he is full of it by the sound of it depend's on the economy lot's of people in royalmail have other skill's which they will get paid far more than royalmail pay! As others have said were all still here but till when?trouble wrote:We all got called round for a huddle where the Dom told us the wages are not gauranteed or protected next year wtf?
