Parking Tickets.......
ok boys and girls here is one for you..
we have been informed to-day if we park on double yellows(not parked in awkward places) we will start getting tickets from the wardens....
Also if we park in the parking bays for longer than 10 mins we will get a ticket..(some loops longer than 10 mins..
so my question is who will pay the fine..the driver or royal mail....(if its the driver the 1st day i get a ticket i will no longer be a r.m driver and can i refuse to drive)

ask the manager where you should park if double yellows are the only reasonable option at the moment.

On your frame there is a sheet to record hazards on route/walk unlevelled ground, uneven pavements etc. Record the double yellow lines and parking bays as delivery is inaccessible to customer without double yellow line parking for an easier access instead of walking a distance to perform delivery. On recording this on sheet ask DOM for his/her instructions on how best to perform deliveries without incurring parking fines and get their reply in writing. Depending on the reply you will then be taking longer to finish the P&L or walk and use cutting off procedure. If DOM questions the mail you are taking back refer him/her to the hazard sheet or the written reply.nipples9992001 wrote:Parking Tickets.......

As above, nowhere to park, not going to park where it will cost you money, they want you to deliver from a van, they pay the fines, simple really. Obviously, you don't park on brows of hill, zigzags on a crossing and places like that.

Whenever I visit the local hospital in my own motor I always leave my ID pass on the dashboard & my large coat over the seat & park in the drop off area, either I’ve just been lucky or been give the Royal Mail pardon

Some loops? Most loops in our place are 30-40 minutes, all day long. I think the quickest I've ever done one was 15 minutes and that was either a quiet Tuesday or Saturday.nipples9992001 wrote:Parking Tickets.......

Ten minute and under loops? I have extreme loop envy
