Our start date for using them was supposed to be this week but its been cancelled.
Apparently the network EE cannot cope with all the new scanners downloading

Ours have not connected to the network for about 2 weeks. Everything scanned as Ad hoc. We were told it's a server issue , can not take the amount of data.

We got told the rollout has stopped for tech reasons, shame, I was looking forward to these, something positive for change, I guess they have tried to do it on the cheap.

We've got the new PDA's and they seem to be working ok after a few teething problems, but I was told we wouldn't be getting chargers in the vans.

No cradles really? So how does the sat nav function on the road. You just have it talking to you from the glove box maybe?

We have them and they are actually very good. A few things I'd change of course but on the whole they are better than the old ones.
You should have a cradle in the van for storage whilst driving but no charge point. So far after about 6 hours it hasn't gone below 70% although don't know how well they'll do in a year or so when the batteries age a bit.
Network has been crap lately and then it was ok again ... until today.

Yeah some vans do, theres a handful of about 10 vans in our office that don't have them!! Sits in the cup holder nicely for now!!
