grievance form

is there a link to print out a grievance form at home? our rep is on leave at the moment, and no-one else seems to know?

is this even worthy of a grievance, our dom has decided that we are to lapse every day, fair enough, most other offices do it, so we decided good-bye to goodwill coming in early and throwing off rounds, now we come in on time, start on time, take breaks, etc. so two guys were caught stopped at home when they'd finished early and were seen over it. most days there's now cut off. every day last week, one of the shared duties cut off every day. this week he's decided to lapse another round, but only two shared duties have had extra put on them, both are the rounds of the guys who were caught stopped at home, even though one of the two rounds had cut off every day last week, they've now had more added onto them again. any thoughts?

But having seen what your grievance is about I'd be surprised if you got anywhere with it. Still it's your prerogative if you feel you have a genuine grievance.

I would have, to be honest, and say that for a successful grievance you would need to be clearer what the point of grievance is.

1. Is it because you have been given extra work. That in itself not enough for a grievance unless the extra work takes you over and the manager is not following the agreed procedure when you advise them.

2. Is it because other people have not been given extra. Again not enough for a grievance by itself, unless they are being allowed to finish early repeatedly. But even then it would be a very weak grievance and would rest on the "Work all paid hours" agreement.

3. Is it because the 2 guys who were caught at home early have had work added. Again no reason for a grievance for the same reasons as No 1. In fact the posties themselves have "proved" to the manager that they could absorb a bit extra. All they can do now is stick to the rules and follow the agreed procedures.
