Equality act
Hi aIl iam covered by the equally act for arthritis but in October I am having a replacement joint put in.Just wondering if any one knows because I will have an artificial joint would that still be classed as disabled and covered by the equality act.

yes you will. You have a life long condition which is covered under the equality act 2010. The operation is corrective surgery that may well help , and I hope that it improves your condition. However your arthritis might well be found in other areas and I hope that this is not the case, but this is why you are covered for lapses and improvements in your condition.

I had a partial knee replacement last year and have it in writing from OH Assist that I am classed as Disabled under the Equality Act.
