Labour stay leaflet

anybody else come into a shed load of labour "stay" in Europe leaflet this morning...virtually for every house.

came in for the whole office not walk sorted,,,and already postage paid so no extra money in it for us....
just a bit of a kick in the slats on a Wednesday as well.

made me wonder how much if it was country wide the labour party had wasted on that leaflet...printing and postage costs

Had them here too. On the plus side, as I was going to virtually every address today, managed to get the rest of the weeks D2D's done

Had them plus a load of lib dem stay leaflets posted as well, the dom wanted us to finish them tomorrow and take where we were going but after getting advice from her boss realised that its illegal to deliver election/referendum material on the day of polling so everything had to go,cue a lot of my sector didnt lapse and culled packets

We got them today in the coded boxes and we got told we get paid for them so count them.

This is the latest message received today from my Branch and the CWU.

Dear all

Referendum material has been arriving in DO’s today, this was unexpected by Royal Mail as well as the CWU.

There has been a query as to the legality of delivering such material on the actual polling day. It has been confirmed that it is legal for such items to be delivered on polling day, therefore the items are due for delivery today. However if they can’t be delivered today they must not be delivered tomorrow and any failures should be recorded as a DSA failure.

If the items carry Referendum Communication on them then they attract the unit payments. If they don’t then clearly there could be workload issues and where people are willing to they will be able to claim extended delivery if they go beyond their normal scheduled finish time.

Could you please cascade this information as widely as possible.

We got 4.5p per labour leaflet and had 600 on mine
4.5p with LibDem as well

We got another batch of Remain today... I thought we were not suposed to Deliver campain material on a voting day as it is against Electoral regulations for parties to campain, and questioned it. DOM insisted they had to go, Seems very biased that they were all remain.

What is he on about? There are clearly workload issues regardless of unit payments. He really needs to sort out this mess before the next election/vote/referendum.

We had them for every house on Wednesday, all to be done that day. Workload issues galore. I've never seen so many furious people in my mild mannered office.

At least, when there's one for every house, they are easy to COUNT

Would say majority of all leaflets we delivered were from remain camp.

I think he means just leave them for someone else to do. We have different ways of working to time. Some leave loops or sections, some leave packets. It all gets done by someone else. One duty leaves all packets 4 days out of 6. Everyone else has to argue the toss. I don't do it much but when I do I leave a village.

All the ones I've delivered were about half and half, but then again I've had this week off (

) so not sure what last minute stuff came in

that may be the case in your office and as long as the packets are done the same day that is fine, if any are left to the next day that is forbidden, also the practice of leaving packets in till the next day etc is a common tactic used by managers there is plenty of threads on here to show this, it is not allowed and rep should be reporting all instances of it to hq

We got these too on Wednesday. First told we'd be paid and to count them, no more than an hour later when it was looking like they wouldn't be all sorted in time, manager tells us we could deliver them Wednesday and Thursday (election day) and that we would not be paid for them.
