If the PEC will only recommend the deal to us under those terms and conditions then we'll never get to vote on it. There's no way Royal Mule will revoke all their executive action. So where does that leave us.

Just heard
P,E.C. has voted, 9-5 to accepot the deal, with the rider about sanctions and executive action. 3 officers dissacoiated themselves from the deal. 2 exec members recorded dissent, which allows them to campaign against the deal.
The idea that RM will withdraw all executive action is pie in the sky. In theory, a deal breaker, in practive I can see Hayes and Ward ignoring it.

Re: Just heard
You get the feeling that the PEC have spent the week being brow beaten into accepting whatever was on the table and finally admitted defeat all except the 5 openly opposed.oldpostie wrote:getting the feeling that we have heard all this beforeRicky Bruch wrote:

I think Hayes and Ward better get themselves prepared for a NO Vote - the PEC and those two have done themselves absolutely no favours whatsoever in the manner that our business has been conducted in the last few days.
People may well judge us as weak willed as the executive officers.

Even if Hayes and Ward recommend we accept, we have the final say, don't we?rathbonepostie wrote:P,E.C. has voted, 9-5 to accepot the deal, with the rider about sanctions and executive action. 3 officers dissacoiated themselves from the deal. 2 exec members recorded dissent, which allows them to campaign against the deal.

Agreed
If this is correct we all know RM will not withdraw so what OUR commitee have decided all bar 5 is
" we can not decide how not to piss of our membership so please take it out off our hands so we cant get blamed "
IF there finding it so difficult why not just give us the deal in all its details and let us vote ? and combine it with a vote of confidence in the CWU leadership if you dare !!
