HELP Vacant Sub office duty

Post by Bigmouth »

I work in a small sub office (5 walks)and duty has become vacant.
The vacant duty has been advertised for applicants more widely.
BUt somewhere I've read the vacant duty should be offered to the staff who work same office first.

Can someone confirm this please?

The scenerio is I have 16 yrs service and I know someone who works at another sub office who's as twenty years as applied.

Please find the above link to the Way Forward Agreement 2000. The section you require is 14.3 resourcing of F/t and P/t duties in order of selection.

The way forward doesn't actually say the same office, it says the same resourcing area, so if your spdo and the other spdo are satellite offices to the same do and on the same resourcing budget then yes he may be entitled to it before you

maybe worth thinking about his duty in that satellite office, would that be of interest to you seeing as he might get the one you wanted in the first place?
