free entry to english heritage sites

hi

i regularly use my Royal Mail ID to gain free entry to english heritage sites. Recently ive lost my ID and have been constantly asking my line manager for a replacement but with no avail.

Does anyone know if i can still can gain free entry to these english heritage sites if i just show them a pay slip and my passport or utility bill?

Should be able to they are very relaxed in these places. Pretty sure I've gotten in for free with no RM ID at all before, often forget to take my RM ID badge on holiday!

Yes, pay statement always worked for me before I got an identity card.

And it's quite a saving for somewhere like Stonehenge.

I was told at one place they had a postie in with RM footwear on and they let him in! BTW according to RM rules you should not be in the building without an identity card, refuse to enter the office until you get one.

It is certainly +1 adult as I've used many times. Have read somewhere it also covers up to 3 children but can't corroborate that.

no longer valid for event days ...used to be fine but now they tell you to f..off...check the dates on the site you are visiting

Two weeks ago I went to visit Audley End house using my Royal Mail Id and got free entry for myself and the wife,
It was a medieval event day and I only had to pay the upgrade fee of £1.20 each.
Absolute bargain and a great day.
Have used my ID card many times for myself and the wife and never had a problem with entry.

I never knew about this when I was working at RM. Does anyone know if RM pensioners are included?

Id have to take a payslip as my ID card is only 3 1/2 years out of date!!!
